Kurt of Kurts Kustom Firearms passed away 25 April. He was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was one of the premier AR15 custom gunsmiths on the planet.
My prayers to his family left behind.
Oh man, that’s a bummer 
He did some work for me years and years ago and was a stand up guy that did fantastic work. That’s a loss to the AR community.
I hated to hear that Kurt wasnt around anymore. I have to say he was one of the few people who you could really collaborate on a project and he would make it happen if you wanted to. If asked he would also give you real opinions and suggestions on your projects not just service options he would or could have provided.
Hope his family can make out ok without him.
Yeah…, nice guy and good coms, he did a ban compliant break for me back during the ban…my first AR (of sorts). I think he was the first to come out with any break that had the look of a true A2 flash hider.
Lord Rest His Soul
Kurt did a bunch of work for me over the years. He took the time to bring some oddball projects from paper to reality, and did a great job. Most of his work is the hands of guys doing important things with it.
RIP, Kurt, and thanks.
