Hey all,

Just wanted to write about the great service you get when purchasing from a quality site sponsor like Grant and GRT. I ordered a Daniel Defense XVM4 on 7/13 and within 2 hours I had the tracking number in my email inbox. The gun arrived at my FFL on 7/17 and I picked it up on the 18th. This is neither my first AR nor my first DD product as I have Omega rails, but I have to say this is a very nice basic M4 configuration with all the right specs. Sorry no pics (its not like you have not seen M4 type pics before:p) but I have to say what I really like about the gun is the A1.5 fixed rear sight. I have flip up BUIS but if you are going to have just an RDS and not any type of magnified optic, I think I would go with this. Very simple and very solid.

I did have an issue with the packaging in that the gun is not held very securely in the box and can move. Mine moved around enough that the forward assist wore a hole in the plastic bag surrounding the gun as well as the box. It rubbed on something (probably a shelf) during shipping and the edge of the FA is a little dinged up and the finish is gone at that area down to the bare metal. This is no fault of GRT as this is the way it comes from DD. I communicated this to Grant and this is where the BIG KUDOS comes in for GRT. He offered to send me a new FA to make things right but I refused because it was not his fault and this is not going to be a safe queen, it will get used! So if you want to know who to go to for your BRD fix, just know that Grant will take care of you no matter what.

I also sent an email regarding this to DD and they replied that they will look into it.

I’m just about to pull the trigger on one of these as well, pun intended. It will be my first rifle purchase of any kind. I’m embarrassed to say (at least on these forums) I’ve never even fired a rifle before. I can’t wait to go to a range and see what I can do. I’m a novice at best, but here is a shot from my last trip to the range with my Glock 23. I’m getting better, I used to be all over the place.

Reading so many good things about the Danial Defense XV is making my decision a lot easier.

I would highly recommend the XV and get it from Grant. Send him a PM and get the “good guy” pricing from him. Again it is a great deal for what you get in quality parts and materials plus the bonus of GRT’s great service.:smiley:
