I was looking into buying the russian saiga converted ak built by koraynovich arms from Atlantic. The rife looks really nice and seems well built but I’ve never heard anything about them. Does anyone have any info on koraynovich arms? Would I just be better off goin with an arsenal slr107? The rifle is selling for 850. For that money I’d opt for the Arsenal SLR-107, the koraynovich arms appears to be more of a “ceremonial” safe queen than a fighting rifle.
I agree. They didn’t even bother to weld and refinish the holes above the pistol grip. For $850–not a chance
Ok. This is coming from someone who has never given any consideration to an assault rifle type of riffle till very recently, and who knows zip about AK-47’s, and have never shot any 7.62 rifle. I’ve always thought the AK-47 was the sweetest looking assault rifle out there, and that one linked to in this thread is one sweet looking AK. If I do end up with an AK, it would have to have wood furniture. That polished bolt looks a little out of place tho.

Can you tell from those photos wether they are milled or stamped receivers?
It’s a stamped receiver. Milled receivers have a rectangular lightining cut above the magazine well, while the stamped receivers have that little ‘dimple’.
That is a nice traditional looking AKM style rifle. Not something I would buy unless it was just for show, and maybe an occasional range trip. I personaly like the SGL21-66 or the SLR107F.
Is that bolt carrier polished steel? I’ve never seen one quite like that.
