The cup edge is knurled for gripping strength so these screws resist loosening. Made by McMaster-Carr out of alloyed steel and then black-oxide coated. These are the perfect solution for upgrading the standard screws in AR15 low-profile gas blocks. The knurled-cup tip digs into barrels for a secure fit like no other, even without dimpling. Great for existing gas block installations. Just take out one screw at a time and replace with these screws. Pair with Loctite 272 (high temp red), Rocksett, or Permatex #24026 (red, high temp, high strength) for a huge reliability upgrade over std smooth-face set screws that are so commonly used for gas blocks. This is the industry standard screw size and thread pattern for low profile gas blocks. These are also compatible with dimpled barrels (works perfectly with them).
