There was a time in my life that I thought a Smith 28 was just a gun that old men had.
Now I know better.
I did about 12hr of bodywork on it and got it down to a 1000 scratch, blasted and prepared.
Then it went to charcoal blue.
The trigger and hammer were cut down and polished along with the screws.
Installed a custom set of grips out of walnut fit and polished them.
Did my standard action job put a cylinder stop in.
I love my 28’s. They probably were the best value in .357…ever. They are bomb-proof. When you were out of ammo you still had a pretty good “weapon” in your hand.
That is beautiful work - you’re a craftsman. I AM an olde man and for all the handguns I’ve collected in my rampant addiction my S&W service revolver remains my favorite.
