Knock KNOCK: Israeli Rifle-Fired Shaped-Charge Door Breach

Gotta admit it’s certainly inventive…humm…

I can’t play the vid at work, but it looks like a Simon breaching munition.

“The system consists of a bullet-trap tail section which slides over the muzzle of the rifle, an explosive midsection and a front standoff rod.”

LOL!

Yeah… no thanks.

That thing is awesome. I freaking miss that show by the way. Mack seemed pretty cool, and I am a nerd for that kind of stuff.

I remember seeing that a few years back. Crazy Izzies.

Seems like an awesome idea. Looks like it would have anti-vehicle properties as well, making it very easy for every soldier/marine/sailor in a squad to carry one for added capabilities.
Does anyone know if they make M203-compatible flash bangs? That would be sweet: one guy fires the simon, then a second guy fires a FB from his M203…anyone on the other side would have a hard time resisting the team’s entry.

They do

It’s called the M-100. What they don’t show in the video is the ten pound weight that goes on the stock of your M-4 to help keep the rifle balanced and to mitigate recoil. If you don’t think the M-4 has recoil try shooting it with one of these. I had the pleasure of doing a fam fire with both the training rounds and live rounds. The concept is cool but I think practical application might be a different story.

The team would have to run 30 yards after the breech just to enter the building. Doesn’t see that pratical to me.

Most rifle grenades have pretty massive recoil. I’ve broken several AKs shooting them.

What typically breaks on them?
