- [#1551] Knights Armament KAC Mk11 Mod 0 Clone. This is a nice Knights Armament KAC SR-25 LW Match Special P/N: 98169 featuring a 20” Match Grade 1:11.25" Twist Hammer Forged 5R Barrel, KAC FF RAS MK11 Mod 0 Rifle Length SR-25 12.25in 7.62mm P/N: 20362-1 Free Float Forearm (please keep in mind that the P/N: 20362-1 is not in production and has not been in production for a VERY long time, and is just not available), KAC 2 Stage Match Trigger, and A2 Stock. This rifle is a KAC SR-25 LW Match Special P/N: 98169, that shares the same P/N as the Mk11 Mod 0. Records from KAC indicate that this rifle was purchased by the same agency that also purchased a number of Mk11’s. What makes this rifle particularly appealing is the factory 7.62mm left offset markings on the magwell that lends this rifle to being a great candidate for a full Mk11 Mod 0 cloning. This rifle was manufactured on 10/10/2001 (a month after 9-11, keep in mind that is was in 2000 the NSWC Crane adopted the Mk11 Mod0 as the SOCOM Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle), so its safe to presume that KAC was gearing up in advance of military orders for Mk11’s and to expedite production this rifle came from the same batch of lowers to be manufactured as Mk11’s because the factory engravings purposefully left room for the Mk11 designation. Commercial production SR-25’s do not have room on the markings to add the Mk11 designation unless they were specifically manufactured as that type. It’s also of note that the lower receiver is not “color filled” white like the standard commercial SR-25’s and is fully black like the military issued ones. Also like accurate Mk11’s, it is a Vero Beach lower, and has the correct Mk11 smaller ejection port. This isn’t one of those 24” commercial KAC SR-25 rifles you see pop up for sale now and then. Again this rifle would be a great candidate to do a full Mk11 Mod 0 cloning, to do so you would need to have the Mk11 Mod 0 laser designation engraved on the lower, and change out the gas block, other than buying the accessories that’s all you have to do to be 100% correct. That is a lot easier and cheaper than spending $10K+ on a real Mk11. This listing is for just the rifle, and does NOT include the Front & Rear Sights, Bipod, KAC 20rnd Magazine, or optics/mount shown. I have priced it this way to allow a motivated buyer the opportunity to step into the Mk11 Mod 0 7.62mm SR-25 platform without breaking the bank. I can certainly work out something with the winning buyer if they want to purchase all or some of the accessories. This rifle is used and does show wear as can be seen in the pics, has scratches, but overall it’s a great rifle with a very nice KAC 7.62mm bolt as you can see from the pics which does not show much use. Only thing to really point out is that the spring on the ejection port cover slipped and does not spring open, this does no effect function, nor are any pieces missing or broken, this might have been the previous user groups modification to set the spring this way so as not make a loud snapping sound when actuating the charging handle and was a common field expedient user modification employed by actual end users. This is a great chance to pick up an exceptionally competitively priced SR-25, if you have been wanting a Mk11 and didn’t want to spend $10,000-$20,000 on one, then this is a great rifle to fill that burning void.
