sorry for the noob question, but will the bckm kmr fit onto the SR15, i understand barrel nuts will need to be changed but would that be it?
Should be no issue as both use standard barrel nut threads.

Yes, I have KMR 15 on my upper.
I also have a pinned Vltor gas block, so I can’t comment on how it would work with the KAC gas block.
Either of you have pictures of your setups? I’ve got a mod 1 and have been tossing the idea around of doing the same thing with mine. Preferably a 13"
Dude, there is no shortage of folks out there would happily pay the equivalent of a KMR equipped BCM upper for a good condition Mod 1 upper.
I’m a fan of the KMR and own two but I also like my Mod 1 just like it is.
I too am a fan of the KMR, and enjoy my Mod 1. But when you consider a URX 3.1 weighs 20oz without a barrel nut, and a 13" KMR is 7.7 w/ barrel nut. Lightening the front of a carbine by over 3/4lb is a significant improvement.
