Kinetic Development MLOK Quick Release Bipod- and Other Stuff

THIS is the bipod mounting system I’ve been asking for. Simple. Just snap it in to install. Push a button to release. Watch the video to see what I mean.

Mount N Slot, you should have had a bipod mount like this couple years ago using your quick release cups.

They’ve got a couple of other quick release mounts, but it’s the bipod I find most interesting

Did I see a snap on inline light mount in that vid ?

Interesting …

Now that’s cool!

Thanks for posting this.

Definitely makes MLOK worth it! Now THAT is innovative.

That looks like a very clever design. I’d love to see how well it locks up on a variety of rails out there, though the wedged feet look like manufacturing variations were factored into their shape.

Very interesting. It would seem that if those mounts hold right, that could push MLOK right to the top.

That’s what I was thinking. This could be what lets MLOK take over the world

This would make me go with an MLOK over another design. Depends on how much each of those mounts are and if we can get other designs Ala scout mounts, etc.

Knowing the min/max thickness spec for an m-lok handguard, you could easily design those to work within that envelope and take care of any variations…

I saw the video for these a couple days ago, I was wondering when it would pop up here. If they work as well as they appear to I think these folks stand to make a fortune. I also think I might be in the market for an m-lok rail…

The basic picatinny rail and bipod mounts look to be $50-$60 each, and they do appear to have dedicated scout mounts:

They also have a pretty innovative Aimpoint mount:

Very interesting. Thanks for posting the vid. Do you know how tight the lockup is? It seemed like there might have been a little rattle. If it’s a tight lockup and not easily dislodged by accidentally bumping the latch, I may have to change a few plans…

Nevermind…

Very cool!!! Perfect for lights & bipods.

Cheers

Very very cool.

I would certainly buy a dedicated scout light mount and bipod mount.

I love the mlok platform. I have a BCM KMR and have come to hate key mod by comparison after getting a geissele mk8 and experiencing mlok first hand. This product really seals the deal for me.

I only wish mlok had come out earlier so that I hadn’t dumped so much money into BCM key mod products. I do plan on dumping my key mod stuff when I get a chance and repacing it with mlok.

If only BCM would sell a mlok kmr. I understand they are invested in key mod, but I think they will lose sales from not offering mlok. For instance when ordering bcm key mod products direct from BCM i would also tack other common items on my order. Now that I won’t even buy key mod product again, that also means I won’t be buying othr stuff from them because I will buy that stuff from vendors when purchasing mlok stuff from them. BCM is really missing out by being so stuborn. Oh well not my loss (other than not having a mlok kmr, that is a loss to me I often think about)

THIS right here !
For my last AR I wanted BCM . The KMR would have been perfect -if it were M-LOK !
( Wish the PTB would jump on board and make it happen )

I just bought the upper and then put on an ALG M-Lok rail on it .

I would have preferred it to be their super light rail and be done as it came
out of the box .
If the new tech shown in the OP’s video works as well as shown and proves to
be reliable - it makes a huge difference in the M-LOK / Keymod debate .

Especially if they come up with an inline lower profile rail with 1 inch rings .

Funny that in the end M-Lok won’t kill keymod, kinetic dev group will.

“it makes a huge difference in the M-LOK / Keymod debate”

What is the huge difference? What does M-LOC do that KeMod doesn’t other than being more idiot proof? MagPul came up with M-LOC because KeyMod doesn’t play well with plastic. MagPul’s reputation is built on plastic. The Kenetic product is interesting but to me it looks like something that will get knocked off if you use it long enough. Like a QD sling swivel. I doubt you will see it on many hard use rifles.

Well, that’s pretty cool. I like it. I have to say, I don’t take much stuff on and off of my rails, and those ones I have that are either 1913 or KeyMod have rail covers, because guns get hot.

I’d like to see a KeyMod variant of it, but if they don’t, I’m not going to lose sleep - I just don’t take that much on/off my rails at all, they get a rail covers, which stay on, a handstop and a sling mount, and maybe a stubby VFG. Everything else runs off of the top rail, lights, optics, sights, and often, the sling mounts too.

Definitely looks cool, would love to see some hard use reviews of these QD MLOK attachments. If they prove to be durable will be a huge product.
