Kimber Classic Custom, Dawson Rail and Surefire DG-18 Questions

I’ve been working on a project currently to put a Dawson rail on my Kimber Classic Custom, but I’m on the fence regarding putting a DG switch on the Surefire X300 that will be going on the Dawson rail.

The concept of the DG switch is great, but after handling one on a friend’s Glock 19, I wasn’t really impressed and felt that the pressure pad disrupted my master hand firing grip. I’m looking for some user input about using the DG switch as opposed to the paddles, and the overall stiffness of the switch , as I tend to vice-grip my pistols and control them with a lot of pressure from my middle finger.

I’m trying to figure all this out before I put in the order to Raven Concealment for the corresponding holster.

Thanks in advance for any help!
