KG Gun Kote

I currently keep the external (and internal) of my guns lubed up 24/7 in the safe, for rust, wear and other protection. If I had my rifles KG Gun Kote-ed, would that provide the type of protection that I would not have to worry about lubing up the exterior of the rifles 24/7 for protection?
It would be nice to just pop the rifles in and out of the safe without having to keep lubing em up.[:/]

I have one of my rifles barrel coated and it does not need to be oiled on the outside. It sits inside a free floating handguard so it is easier when I perform maintenance and do not have to worry about coating it with oil and removing the rail.

I drink the GunKote cool-aide.
I have lots of guns coated in GunKote. They are very well protected. The only place that I oil is what is not painted. I like the product because it is very thin and hard. All steel on the AKs had a fresh park job before painting.
GunKote Flat Tan

GunKote AK Black (hardcooked for a more flattened shine)

GunKote AK Black, which is a semi-gloss with extra black pigment.

The KG stuff you spray from a air brush rocks. Goes on very well. I rate it equal to Norell’s.
