Keymod Rail Covers

I had been waiting for BCM to get their covers in but no show. I ordered the KAC Flat Panel Kit in Taupe.
Easy on and off, aggressive texture. Then I found the ERGO Wedgelok Keymod Rail Covers, Santoprene material in Dark Earth.
The ERGO ARE WONDERFUL!!!. Easier to install than ladder rail covers. Found them at Brownell’s. I will order 1 more package on my next order and shed the KAC covers.

Did you shoot with them on your rifle yet? If so, how did heat affect them?

Those look terrible.
Why do you have a cover on your top rail?

If anyone reads this and wants more info.

Just got them today, have not shot.

ED? Cover toprail I don’t generally wear gloves when I shoot. Just covering hot spots.

I cover my top rail…easy to find the sharp edges when the pace picks up.

I like the Noveske keymod covers from a function standpoint, burn hate the headache of mounting them. May give these a look.

VISM, A Division of NcStar has some KeyMod rail panels. You just have to get past the NcStar part.

They are simple to mount and dismount using a heat gun. Heat guns are great for lots of things like cool weather garden hose repair for one. I use mine quite often.

I had a pair of the KAC keymod rail covers. I really wanted to like them, but after a few sessions with them on I removed them. I decided to go with no covers and find that to be a much more comfortable set up.

I’m running no covers right now. Keep wanting to “love” the way something looks, but end up just wearing gloves. Which aren’t bad for general hand protection, anyhow.

I really like Noveske’s, but taking them off took a little getting used to.

^This!^ Same here exactly.
