Today Kalashnikov Concern US rolled out their first lineup and also MSRP pricing. Looks like they will fall into that middle of the road between Century and Arsenal. Some look decent, other models are obnoxiously fitted with bad furniture. Take a look;

Their address comes up the same as CAA, so I’d guess they’re in the sack together and we will only see that lovely CAA stuff.

If so that “synthetic stock rifle” with the MSRP of 799 (street prices in the upper 600s maybe???) looks like a good rifle.
That’s because Kalashnikov USA is a trademark not associated in any way with actual Kalashnikov Concern.
Shame really.

“You are correct, Josh. Before founding Kalashnikov USA, we imported Russian firearms under the name RWC. You can still find some of these converted firearms in the market. After the sanctions, we decided to form KUSA and by law, cannot have contact with Kalashnikov Concern.”
I’m not digging the furniture they used (pistol grips, handguards, and collapsible stocks).
They should offer a Magpul version…
Crappy furniture and no Cold Hammer Forged barrels. The US132S is the nicest looking version but they don’t have the folding stock variants available yet. Magpul and US Palm components would have been better but they are under the same umbrella as CAA or outright owned by them so that explains the furniture. Remains to be seen if they’re built properly I suppose.
Been waiting for these. My Christmas list AK was between Kalashnikov and DDI. I leaning towards DDI now.
Have you seen many positive things from DDI?
I have not personally shot one, and have only watched You Tube reviews. However, from what I see on the reviews they are GTG.
I will be in the AK market later this year, that’s why I was curious.

If you guys are looking to spend $800+ on an AK, might as well get an Arsenal for around $900. I’m all for American made products, just not too confident on American AK’s just yet.

They are just a trademark. They HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH KC. They dont gwt anything from Russia or KC. Nothing! Their quality is about on par with IO and the test of the low quality “US MADE” AKs

If you can find a straight, properly built WASR, that’s probably your best bet for an AK that doesn’t cost $800.
