As the title says, I was all set on the JP, however, I may be able to pick up a KAC for a little more. I intend on using it as a bench rifle and perhaps for small game in the future. Your thoughts? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Knights roll mark looks better if that helps. The white lettering on the JP lower is a turnoff for me. What are the specs on the JP lower?
It is their standard forged lower. None of that fancy pantsy billet stuff.

Knights, with the caviat that the BCG is proprietary. Excellent rifle from THE inventor and if you end up not liking it, excellent resale value (even if there wasn’t a run on firearms).

My vote would also be for the KAC only cause that’s what I have personal experience with and I also had the opportunity to shoot a LPR with accuracy @ 100yds was on par with my Noveske SPR. If I didn’t already own the Noveske, I’m pretty sure I’d have a KAC KPR in the safe right now.
My SR15 E3 has just over 15K through it and I’ve only had one malfunction to date and it may have been magazine related. It occured towards the end on day three during a class. Transitioned to my secondary, fixed it (double feed), and finished the rest of the day without issue. Problem hasn’t surfaced since then.
I also own a few other full factory KAC rifles and all have equally been reliable for me.
I own a KAC LPR and it is a fantastic shooter. Very precise, very controllable, love the rail system, no hick ups what so ever (albeit a low round count thus far). I really like how the rail covers the gas block, I also really love that the sights are not integrated into the rail. My vote is the LPR 
i’m a big fan of JP. built lots of rifles with his parts. he shoots in and sponsors my Precision Multigun matches (now PTS) and he won the team match. No question they are very competitive rifles.
Also a big fan of KAC. had a couple SR25s and mk11mod0, and sr15. just bought a LPR upper this weekend and can’t wait to shoot it later this week.
but if i were looking for a bench gun and varmint gun, i wouldn’t go for a top dollar match or tactical rifle. i’d get krieger or somebody to chamber a bull 20+ inch barrel, and throw it in a billet upper of some flavor.
Roll marks? Seriously? The biggest concern for you between these two rifles is roll mark vs laser etching?
KAC. My LPR functions like a dream. The rail is nice and covers the gas block. On par with the OBR and Noveske’s I’ve had a chance to shoot. Bolt is proprietary but it’ll probably last a long, long time.
JP all the way. KAC is not on the same level
All great input. I have been talking with the guys at High Caliber Sales in Indiana. Great guys. I will most likely order the KAC through them. It seems KAC is providing a test target with sub MOA. Sounds great. I believe in purchasing the best gun you can afford. Why, because I have some firearms in my safe about 155 years old that still fire reliably. A high quality firearm with proper maintenance lasts a lifetime.
Is there any other differences that you know of?

I would problably choose the JP for their use of common AR parts although I am sure the KAC is a fine rifle also.
Well just in the lower the KAC is ambi, and they come with a very fine trigger.
To me the KAC is more of a workhorse style of rifle that will do anything and everything you wish of it. The proprietary parts are a good thing. JP’s IMO are more of a gamer gun and while im sure they shoot very well, i give the edge in reliability hands down to KAC.
That’s funny. Jp rifle are fine for 3 gun where your going to run a couple hundred rounds at a time then clean it before the next match.
KAC is head and shoulders above a Jp. KAC has improvements that know other AR’s have. These differences in the system were not just done by some random firearms engineer off the street. There is a reason it is the stoner rifle (SR 15). There differences do not automatically make it the best there is. I do not own one, but if the claims performance are true the KAC offers a lot of bang for you buck.
Jp does not make garbage. They make quality rifles designed for 3 gun, and other gun games. The KAC is made to handle the rigors of Mil/Le.
