Newbie here. Just picked up a new colt 6920 last week and want some opinions on two rails.
KAC RAS
Daniel Defense Omega.
The omega looks nice with the continuous upper, but KAC is the original mil Sopmod I. Any other suggestions would be Great!!!
I am trying to keep it looking as M4 as I can. Pic would be great and appreciated.

Both are excellent, but would have to go with the Omegas a it is free floating and has a sling attachment point built in.

I have the KAC rail on all my carbines but one (LaRue on that one). They work great for me.
You said it, the original SOPMOD & looking as M4 as I can, Don’t forget “warrior tested”, I have the RAS on a 6920, it works for me, both are good choices…
I don’t see how you could go wrong either way. Both KAC and DD are top shelf companies.
i’m NO expert but i would totally agree. i have a KAC on my recently redone carbine upper. my good friend has an Omega on his SBR’d rifle. i’ve handled and shot his rifle and the Omega is very nice. i personally prefer the KAC but that is just based on visual preference; i’ve found no performance/quality issues with either.
go with which ever you prefer for your own reasons/tastes, either will serve you well i’d say.
ok, So I went with the DD Omega, and I think its pretty cool. The fit and finish, and construction was awesome. Installed it with no problems. Tip: take the removable handle and tighten it half on the upper and the other half on the rail to line it up perfectly.
Question: I mounted my Eotech 557, and the reticle seems pixelated. Is this normal, and I don’t know if I like the co-winessin the lower third. Any opinions on this? Thanks
IIRC, pixelization of the reticle has to do with imperfections in your MK 1 eyeballs. I have astigmatism in both eyes, running at different angles in both (supposedly a little bit rare or unusual) and I’ve never seen an Eotech that didn’t look pixelated to me. The only way to mitigate it, at least with my eyes, is to turn the brightness down.
Damn, I have astigmatism in both eyes too. Can anyone comment on the 7mm rise. It does not true co-witness. Should I return and get a 552/512?
The outer circle of the EOTech 65MOA reticle is supposed to be pixeled to allow more light to come in.
The lower 1/3 co-witness is superior to the absolute co-witness because it puts your head up higher, giving you better visibility.
