I had picked up a KAC 300m that was an Iraq bring back and refinished it last summer. It was $55 so for quite a bit less than the Troy pair I have a KAC pair.

Yeah, the 300 I’ve had for 2 years almost. The Front was $160 from Operationparts and I really like it.
Wes at MSTN sells them for $5 more and they don’t have the KAC name on the right side. Not sure why.
Do they lock up in the up position? They look very promising and low profile.
Neither lock in the up position. Yes, they are VERY low profile.
