whats wrong with it? why is it a factory second?
Are these carbine length rails? Look to be 2 pc non free float. Any hard spots installing? or just pull the Delta ring back pull the existing handguards and install? or is it pull the front sight etc etc?

The anodizing could be a little off or the laser engraving isn’t quite right.

These are for a carbine and are not free floating. These are the official .Mil rail is on just about every single M4 in the US Military. 
Piece of cake to install and nothing needs to be removed (less your handguards).

Not Grant, but in another thread he said some of them had a slight purpleish tint to the finish on some of them.
As for installing, you remove the allen screw at the back of the RAS and install them just like a regular set of handguard ensuring the locking tab(where you took the allen screw out of) goes under the barrel nut. Reinstall the allen screw with some blue lock tight making sure not to over tighten. I’ve been using them on my work and personal carbines for years and they are IMHO the best non-free float rail made, especially when coupled with the UK RAS lower.

Great price on what I still concider to be a great piece of gear.
Is the bottom rail anchored to the top rail in any way? Does the bottom rail wiggle with vertical grip attached?
The Bottom rail fits snug into the top which is clamped/pin indexed in the barrel nut. It does not wiggle with a VFG.
We now have RAS BLEM’s from the current .Mil contractor.
