KAC 16inch for 3 gun?

I’ve broken a lot of hearts with an 11.5" gun.
In these days of long handguards, extended port positions, and optimized port sizes, the optic will play a bigger part than the gun will.
That said, if you want a KAC rifle with all of the benefits inherent, but want some more MV and precision potential, take a look at the Mod 2 LPR. 18" stainless match barrel that has been brought down to a fighting weight (pulled about a pound out of the original LPR barrel).
Been shooting one in SPR and 2-gun for the last few months. After shooting 7.62 and short 5.56 for as long as I have, the Mod 2 LPR is wicked fast.
If you aren’t shooting anemic ammo, an H2 buffer will smooth out the felt cycle.
Throw on a good brake/comp and the gun won’t be what’s holding you back.

Are you guys still using Krieger barrels on the Mod 2 LPR? I know there were supply issues with the original LPR. I want to pick up a LPR upper to be able to swap out on my KAC lower when I want to shoot some tight groups.

If you have a MOD2 then you’ve got the latest and greatest . Mod2 is a softer operating weapon systeam with the gas systeam and buffer tube and spring to match . Mine operate really smooth and soft

I’m not sure what you are saying? Is the RE different in the MOD2 in newer configurations? My early ones in 16" came with the same ones as other earlier versions with the 3 ounce carbine action buffer.
I do think that an A5 or similar could potentionally help some things, compared to the 3 ounce carbine action in the span of function over the original setup. I have gassed some specifically for the A5H2.

The receiver extension, spring, and buffer are the same as the Mod 1s. 14.5 and 11.5 carbines come with H2 weight buffers.

I’m not disputing what you are saying, KAC guns are a pinnacle product and they seem to innovate in ways that are not always obvious.
My experience of the early MOD2 lowers was the same as the MOD1 and earlier versions.

I didn’t realize the Mod 2 LPRs were already out!! Gotta look into that…

Really hoping that M-Lok KAC rail comes out in 2016.
