KA Bar knives: 5 1/4 vs 7 inch

Which version would be the best in an emergency/SHTF role? Is the smaller version lweaker? Is smaller easier to control?

I got the 5 1/4 inch for Christmas and wondered if I should upgrade… I don’t have huge hands, I’m average sized…

The smaller one will fit into more pockets on a pack or in a pouch.

I gave my small Ka-Bar to my son since it’s the perfect grip for a child. I prefer the full-size Ka-Bar myself. Ultimately though, you need to decide how exactly you plan on using the knife (i.e., utility, weapon, open carry, or concealed.).
