Former President Barack Obama declared that if “one side” attempts to cement “a permanent grip on power” through “suppressing votes,” “politicizing” the military or weaponizing the judiciary and criminal justice system to target opponents, “a line has been crossed.”
His comments came even as many Americans believe that President-elect Donald Trump has been unfairly targeted in unwarranted politically motivated cases.
Obama’s remarks came after Biden made a comment earlier this year that many perceived as him [referring to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
“Because the alternative is what we’ve seen here in the United States and in many democracies around the globe: Not just more gridlock, not just public cynicism, but an increasing willingness” among “politicians and their followers to violate democratic norms, to do anything they can to get their way, to use the power of the state to target critics, and journalists, and political rivals, and to even resort to violence” to obtain and retain power.
The former president added that bridge building represents the “best tool” to create “lasting change.”
“Pluralism is not about holding hands and singing Kumbaya. It is not about abandoning your convictions and folding when things get tough. It is about recognizing that in a democracy power comes from forging alliances and building coalitions and making room in those coalitions not only for the woke but also for the waking,” he said.

It sure as fvck SHOULD be about payback, because the only way to prevent it from happening in the future is to give them a strong taste of their own medicine. Otherwise they will laugh it off and simply wait for their next turn at bat unless they are made to realize that what comes around, goes around and eventually we will have power back someday.

In 2008, I didn’t vote for him, but I figured why not give him a chance after he won. Bush was pouring money into the war machine like a drunken sailor.
At Obama’s first news conference, he looked like a scared child. Reporters were asking about the bad economy and how he was going to fix it. I will never forget his reply “We have to fix the banking system, people can’t even get loans for their RV’s” I laughed. The guy was clueless.
I never would vote for him, but I thought he was a smart guy. I didn’t respect his opinion, but I did respect his ability to communicate and to hold an audiance.
Like all false assertions time make the truth eventually very apparent.
Understand now, I’m actually related to this guy through his Mother’s side of the Family. He’s not smart, he’s clever, he can read people and he’s a great public speaker, but he’s no genius.

He’s now so disconnected from the reality of the commomn Man, he might as well be from Mars.
He makes direct accusations against Republicans that clearly the Democratic Party are guilty of, such as “Using Lawfare” against opponents.
