Wow, to post that on the internet on an open forum instead of immediately calling the BATFE is really dumb…

“Hi guys, I’m in possession of an NFA item that’s not registered to me. Here’s pix!” :o

ignornace is curable…stupid is forever. I can’t say for certain he knew before the post but ‘gets’ it now.

I wonder how this affects the rightful owner if already transfered and lost?? Do they just hand it back if reported / returned or do you get a tounge lashing from ATF & taken away??

I am assuming someone left the box on their hood or tailgate?? Not something I would want to lose!!

Fell off a truck my ass. I would almost bet my next paycheck its stolen property and the poster is a f’n retard.

I found an item that looks like it may of been tossed or fell off of a truck. I’d rather not say on the fourm what it is. Just to say that it is pretty cool. I would like to pm a leo the serial number to determine if it is stolen. If it is I would like to get it to the rightful owner. Thanks

It sure does look like it fell of the back of a truck.

This moron is fishing for someone (LEO) to run his little stolen device to see if its been reported stolen. If anyone is stupid enough to run it, you deserve what you get as bad as he does. You can tell from his post that he knows exactly what it is. I am entirely suspicious, to the point that i’m surprised anyone could be that stupid and wonder if its a setup to try to bust some LEO for running it. In any LE database, they (really big brother) can search and see who ran a particular item or person.

Running the serial number of a suppressor, that some retard on the internet said fell off of a truck, to see if its stolen could cost you your job and a few months of your life.

FYI…Be stupid enough to use a suppressor (or SBR/FA) in the commision of a crime…30 year mandatory sentence first offense, mandatory life sentence for the second. Just for using the NFA item, not counting your original offense.

Fell off a truck? lol people still use that anymore? I agree, should have called BATF before posting online

some quickies:

I lost and found a custom skinning knife on the ranch after cleaning a deer a few years ago…I’m sure I left it on the tailgate of our hunting rig & quickly located it on the path to the bone yard / gut pile.

A Dr. buddy of mine made it almost 30+ miles to his ranch when a guy came up honking next to him on HWY 281 making a pistol with his hand and pointing behind him & to stop. He had left a Colt SAA still in it’s holster on his F150 bumper!!

another guy I know got a free scope from leupold due to his stupidity & their great CS by leaving his deer rifle on the hood of his hunting rig and taking a spill on a gravel road.

Anyway, My gut tells me he is just naive and not a thief.

I’m not buying the niave thing.

In his first posts he says that he’d rather not say what it is, and then he posts a picture asking what it is. Nevermind the brand and model number are stamped on it.

It stinks like hot trash.

You are correct & retract my statement…he’s greedy and really stupid. This could very well bite him in the ass if he doesn’t jump.

He has been warned…read his last post.

I don’t buy the Naive song and dance either… he knows what it is.

The poster was a moron and I wouldn’t be surprised if he nicked it or it was some kind of stupid stunt. In any case not the wisest course of action.
