Just bought this locally and it is a real nice shooter grade US&S. The only part that has been replaced is the MSH with a checked Colt type… It is a very high number and the “P” proofs are correct…

I have a 1911 fetish. I can’t afford to feed my fetish but this is a great classic. Great find.

I am still searching for a shooter grade (at shooter grade price) USGI -prices have skyrocketed as of late- Not quite ready to plunk down a grand for one.
