Junk parts and stuff

I’ll have to sort 10yrs of random junk to see what’s in there. I did see a Carbon 15 upper receiver in there that really got me thinking, especially since I never owned one.

Lol. Did it just spawn? Maybe the product of an AR upper and an old M4 stock mating? I mean, I have tried to convince others that the reason the number of ARs I have keeps growing is that whenever you put two in the safe they spawn stripper lowers that grow into complete rifles.

I suppose that isn’t as bad as finding guns and optics that you had forgotten about, or several thousand rounds of various ammo, like a good friend of mine. Was an adventure helping him move. Hell, was an adventure trying to find a fork in his house actually, going through drawers in the kitchen, “Revolver, revolver, ammo, big ass knife(Not eating related), speed loaders, 1911, random flashlights, FN 5.7, FORK!”

I only exaggerate a little. There was no 5.7.

No reason to keep trashed mags. Cannibalize any functioning part from them; floor plates, springs, follower, etc. and trash the rest. Rinse and repeat . . .

Everything else can be sold/traded/given away.

I’m pretty sure the Carbon 15 upper was regifted by “friends”. I’d be worried if I started keeping parts with the flatware.

I save nearly all my spare parts from upgrading current rifles, EE, and trading etc. just for the hell of it, I started a “how cheap can I build it rig” using spare parts. So far I’m into the build for a whopping $130 and all I need is a colt barrel and BCG and it’s done!

It’s a PSA lower ($50) Colt LPK from G&R ($60) and a colt stripped upper I got for $20 from a friend. I have all the other parts to complete it including a colt FCG and am only lacking a barrel and BCG. I’m trying my best to have it complete for less than $300.

You’ll be surprised what people will buy off Ebay.

I’ve had folks buy hacked-up sporter parts from Saiga conversions and lightly-used accessories and parts (advertised as such) for full-blown new retail prices.

Weird experiments or rifles you’d want but wouldn’t buy.
I have an old A1 receiver I’ve considered making into a CAR-15 or a Dawn of the Dead looking A1 with the duckbill flash hider
Really the extent of my spare parts are a few OLD M4 stocks one handguard and part of an M16A1 parts kit that Apex had a while back. It was going to be something but I just never got around to it.

I had some .308 175 grain GMM spawn a .308 AR.

I have given grips, stocks, old hand guards, and other pieces to friends and family putting an AR together.

He wasn’t keeping parts with the flatware. The parts were in the drawer under the liquor cabinet. He literally had a gun within a step everywhere in the house. I mean, the man has close to a million rounds stockpiled currently from what he was telling me last time we talked. I know for a fact he has well north of 100 handguns, I am not certain on the long guns.

You have problems my friend. Lol. Then again I have no room to speak. I have mags and ammo for guns I don’t own! I hope to have parts to platforms I don’t own by the end of the year

Can I pay you to go dumpster diving in his junk tote? I need a new Raptor and another A5H3 =) You could always start a new website, Pappabear’sTreasuretrunk.com

I agree with the logic of others, even left over and unused small parts from LPK’s have been motivation for a new build.
