What do you guys do with stuff you don’t use anymore, no one buys and still populates a bin that would otherwise be considered trash. I’ve got barrels, non serialized stuff ar uppers, pistol slides, boogered up magazines that are taking up space.
If it is truly trashed then it get pitched. If it is trashed, and large enough, and not worth repair, maybe target practice(Worn out junk mags end up here quite often, along with hard drives, fans, and other things that are fun to turn into poor man’s reactive targets), or if it could be of use, then it gets left in the parts bin because it may be of use down the road. If it is the factory parts for guns that I added aftermarket parts I usually keep them in case I decide to return the gun to factory condition for whichever reason.
That said, I have often warned friends who are getting in guns and gear, that in time expect to have a bucket of cast off parts as well as a box of tactical nylon, gear that was bought, tried, then deemed to not be what one was looking for.
Maybe a 22 build if you have enough parts. Or dump it on a local forum if it’s usable.
Slides should be able to be sold online (what kind)?
Buggered mags? Malfunction drills or garbage can… maybe you can get new parts and rebuild depending on what’s wrong.
I tend to keep original parts even though I know I’ll most likely never use them again. Stuff that’s usable gets sold if it’s worthwhile to sell, or it goes in a box. Occasionally things from that box are given away.
Grips, stocks, the odd set of sights after all been given away or sold dirt cheap to friends who had new guns that has junk factory parts on them. Have not personally gotten to the point of building another gun out of the spare parts laying about though. Give it time I imagine. Though I have had ARs spawn more ARs and lowers, and at least one optic grow an entire rife so…

Exactly I recently started buying little parts here and there when I realized my junk and/or sales parts( things too good to pass up) can make 2 new rifles.
Matter is neither created nor destroyed. I love it. Billions and billions of rifles could be built…
I try to temper my urges to save everything with the fact that I have too many projects already. If it doesn’t take up too much space I’m more lenient.
On the flip side, there’s my personal philosophy - if you know what you want, wait… research… and wait… save up your money… wait some more… research every comparison with similar parts… keep waiting… then buy only that part that you’re absolutely certain you want. My most recent build has taken me two and a half years, and it’s still not completed (though finally actually usable). After all that, I had a MOE stock I gave to a coworker who was considering buying a CTR, and still have a BCM standard (not GFH) charging handle, double-heat-shield CAR handguards, and an LMT selector from the G&R LPK I ordered that long time ago.
Also waiting for websites to offer free shipping helps too 
The folks at Rainier Arms had a good idea what to do with your Mil-Spec Pistol Grips. Mount them on a board and make a coat rack. (Way cooler than a peg board coat rack.

Depends on what it is. I’ve got some commercial REs that are likely to get round filed here shortly but the Mil-specs will stay in the spare parts bin. Worn out mags just get dumpstered. Crap parts that I bought before I knew better, get dumpstered. I’m the process of cleaning out the safe of all of the above right now…
Spare parts turn into rifles/pistols. It is not uncommon to hear of spring transform into a rifle.
I usually have some stocks and buffer tubes along with a pistol grip so I pick up a cheap lower and lpk and flip it on armslist.
At one point I had random 4/6position stocks buffer tubes grips and put together 4 lowers and sold them
I’ve got too much shit. Mtl much shit. We keep half guns , clean barrels and the ladies from Nam at marks stabbing cabin.
It gets ridiculous.
Pappabear’s junk totes are filled with great treasures. I’ve got upper halves and barrels all over my house from his bargain hunting.
Take it out and shoot it, then throw it away.
Or try turning it at the next gun buy back and see if the police will give you money for the evil parts you found.

But on a serious note, that is the rifle that I was referring to earlier that I bought an optic and it grew a rifle.

I give it to my friends… they love it, and I’m not tempted to use the parts that way.
