I just placed a JP Rifles unit on the front of my 20" upper, thus deleting the OEM swivel. The forearm unit does come with a stud for mounting a sling swivel. I have it placed amidships in the 9 o’clock position. I run a Magpul CTR.
Most folks are telling me that the single-point sling option isn’t too cool with the longer upper (I use one with my shorter gun) and I think I agree. I’ve heard only good things about the Vickers 2-point sling. I’d like to try that but I need to source some svivels. Any advice on either type or source, given my setup? What about the rear mounting options with the CTR?
I use one of them on one of my JP’s with a VTAC sling.
I also use a Daniel Defense QD unit, that GotM4 has pictured, on a different carbine.
Both will work.

It is Daniel Defense QD mount but I don’t have a picture of it with the sling on it. It’s a QD loop and it comes with the mount for $30.00 Here’s pics of my wife and my SBRs with slings similarly attached to them. Hers (the bottom carbine) has the new Omega rail which doesn’t need an additional mount as the hole is integrated into the rail.
