Match Format:
Our military has utilized the semi-auto scoped rifle (SASR) for years. Their ability to rapidly engage precision targets both in close and at longer distances has provided great benefit on the battlefield.
This match is designed to test the shooters ability with a scoped semi-auto rifle. Stages will be real world scenario driven and consist of targets from 5 to 800 yards. Shooters will engage targets from a variety of positions ranging from prone to much more dynamic positions. Targets will range from 1moa to 4moa in size, with most being around 2-3moa. Shooters can expect to run between 14 and 20 stages, varying from 2 to 8 minutes in length. Stages will test a variety of skill sets that proficient shooters should possess.
Trophies will be awarded to top shooters including top military and top lady. Prize table will be awarded in order of finish and several prizes will be by raffle.
Train Up/Range Day
Friday will be a Train Up and Open Range Day. Shooters who choose to register for this day will be able to utilize the facility from 1000h to 1700h. There will be several stations set up with instructors demonstrating and teaching useful techniques. Shooters are free to move around and practice from any of the many positons or work with the instructors. The main lane will consist of targets from 200 to over 800 to allow shooters the ability to confirm data on site.
Equipment:
Calibers are limited to nothing larger than a 30cal projectile and a maximum velocity of 3150fps. Anything from a .223, .308 will be able to complete the course of fire. Other calibers are completely allowed as long as they fall within the caliber and velocity restrictions.
Round count will be approximately 200-250 per shooter, the exact count will be emailed to registered shooters as we get closer to the match.
No equipment is off limits in this match, if you believe it could help you complete the course of fire you many bring it. That said, no equipment other than standard gear will be necessary to successfully complete the COF.
