I think we have buried this too long now. I didn’t like how he said what he said (though i understand his frustrations), but his 1st Amendment right just took his 2nd.
From my local news. Say it about five minutes ago live on TV.
Furthermore, their are comments from that Huffpo article that are calling to name the “sub-culture” that Yeager “represents.” Hate to say it, but anyone who has taken any type of firearms class outside of a CCW/CHP is not lumped into to this, and people might start labeling us terrorist trainees because of Yeager. And we know how Fudds think of this ('bunch of terrorist, you are).
Mods, don’t let this go away. This IS affecting us and shoving it under the rug without any dialog to counter this will hurt us. In the minds of liberals; if they observed of what goes on in many of the repeatable firearms classes, particularly the AR/M4 courses, what would they gather? Responsible gun owners to learn how to safely shoot their rifles, or right-wing gun nuts training to be domestic terrorists? And how has the ear of media the most?
The video they showed was of Yeager and his training classes shooting those “evil” assault weapons, making them out to be McVaugh “militiamen.”
Where says that if you do something you’ll be called a domestic terrorist, scoundrel and worse.
Listening to it now and taking some notes:
Give money to the NRA-ILA to get behind them.
He wants to handle it politically. The AWB, confiscation or buy back.
I’m not telling to take up arms against the govt. It will be a black day and bad for everyone. Let’s handle this at the ballot
If it comes time, we’ll do what we have to do.
I just listened to it again and he never says that he is “Going to kill people”. Never passes his lips. Put his name in google and all you get is “start killing people”. He doesn’t say it. Prove me wrong with the time point he says “start killing people”.
He says that he won’t let people take his guns, is that uncommon?
Are mods going to lock this one down also?
We can talk about Alex Jones’ idiocy, but not Yeagers?
Yeager got off lucky this time, but he hurt us all.
Especially those who have trained at his company.
I was fully prepared to hear about another Waco in Camden.
The guy just needs to lay low and STFU.
But I don’t think his ego will allow for him to do that.
He certainly stepped in it, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, he tracked it all over our rug.
I’ve watched many of his Youtube videos and, for general information or one man’s opinion/perspective, they’re not all bad. I do not agree with a number of things he’s said. He’s okay compared to other personalities such as nuttenfancy or Tex Grebner, both of whom I’ve yet to make it through one of their videos in it’s entirety. However, I’d much rather watch a video from Mr. Colion Noir, hickok45 or FateofDestinee.
Thanks. I thought the crazy pills were kicking in.
Koshin:
"The original article even said he edited his video… Did you read it before posting?
It’s on Huffington Post."
Yea, I’m not taking the HuffyPost as a source for something like that, I went to his actual channel and looked for it.
Was the one I linked to before or after the one in question? While there are some obtuse comments about action, he is pretty clear that any kind of action is going to be bad mojo all around.
Yeager Bomb(ed).
Maybe he’ll blame it on all the Monster Drink they sent him
I was discussing this with a friend earlier this evening and these were my thoughts on it . . .
A white dude with shaved head, long goatee, tattoo sleeves, and ASSAULT RIFLES . . . he will now be the poster boy for the DOJ/DHS domestic terrorist flyers.
Also keep in mind that he is the CEO of a “TACTICAL TRAINING” company. It is only a matter of time before the anti’s go for a ban on “tactical training” for civilians and those instructors will only be licensed/regulated to train Mil/LEO.
There is a certain irony in seeing the government starting to sweat over “tactically trained and armed civilians” when they have been engaged in two foreign wars for over a decade where a considerable amount of the security work was hired out to civilian contractors, many of whom participated in or operated these “tactical training” programs.
What’s the old saying? “Hoist with one’s own petard.”
It would be rather difficult to shred the Second Amendment without also shredding the First. Especially if they stick the Constitution in the shredder upside down.
ETA: To be clear, regulating training is regulating both freedom of assembly and freedom of the press (free sharing of information).
