The weather didn’t cooperate with my plans for today so I had some free time. I just barely made it through the first episode. It’s as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
Sadly even with almost 8 hrs of watch time they still felt the need to change way too many things.
I’m starting to think that the first review I read is right when they said that it may be too much screen time for a jack reacher book.

Sure you can make 95gr subsonic, I’d like to see how it would cycle. Isn’t 147gr 9mm ammo, which is readily available, inherently subsonic?
The series isn’t bad and i have been binging it all day… the guy playing Reacher seems a lot more true to the character in the book…

I agree though. Why would anyone want ammo light and slow when you can make it heavy and slow.
In the book they used a suppressed 22. I guess they decided 9mm sounded better for tv.

on the photographer forums sometimes the argument would come up about lighting in a certain scene like in a cave and the dinosaur was throwing the wrong shadow ?

to me the gun stuff again is balanced with the silliness of the writing and acting
I gave episode 2 a try and didn’t end up finishing it. Maybe I’ve gotten picky in my old age (41) but this was just plain awful.
just curious what it was ? the bad acting or the over acting (kinda part of the series) or the gun stuff or ???
also to say I can see why cause its not like band of brothers or anything ! when I watched it I was dual tasking on the computer as the show did not deserve undivided attention
I have two mitzvahs to edit tonight/tomorrow and will most likely put on some other stupid show on the side to fill in the time which is how I watch anything I do not have to read AKA all Netflix shows it seems
even me at 58 but I also just let things entertain and not get into the technical incorrect things I see brings up something though we are into say guns and maybe a few hobbies and when we see them do or show those things poorly especially a guy who is supposed to be a pro gun guy and so smart I can see where that sets some off
also I think with others who are so into whatever else it might be and watching movies be it racing cars or cooking or whatever and they just cringe
It’s just not what I consider good tv. I don’t have a lot of free time for tv so I try to only watch things that I’m really into.
I was confused by them eating beignets is Memphis, because you know Memphis is known for those.
And staying at the Four Season in Memphis. I don’t believe there has ever been a Four Season in Memphis.

Well Margrave GA is a made up place and fictionalizing buildings and businesses in real locations like Memphis is something author’s do quite frequently.
I typically listen to music or podcasts while working.
I’m struggling to keep watching it. My wife likes it though…I’m only 6’2"
