I have been considering buying some NV gear for a long time but everytime I get close to pulling the trigger I get overwelmed with the choices and options. I may do some varmit shooting with it and I wanted the option to mount on multiple rifles as well as use it on a helmet.
I have been thinking of buying a ITT NEPVS-14 Pinnacle Monocular but have not been able to find any unbiased information about the quaility and/or sutibility for my purpose. Please share your exeperience or opinions.
Nobody is going to argue about the high quality of this model, other than the price. A bit expensive for “some varmint shooting” if that is your main aim (pun intended).
I would not chance my 14 on anything larger than 5.56, but I heard some folks use it with 6.8.
Stick with ITT for sure. TNVC has an excellent reputation and claims to have a better pick of the tubes, including this one.
Night vision is like a meth addiction. Soon, you will want an IR laser. They work well and have no concerns, unless your game also has NVGs…
