Finally got a decent enough cold spell (way down into the 60s) to make my patented chili with cornbread.

Dude, nothing beats a good bowl of chili.
Cornbread is only a compliment.
No Beans? ![]()

Here we go… Crockpot out and warming…
You just had to didn’t you?
They’re in there. I just don’t go crazy with them.

Ground sirloin, chopped bacon and “some” chili beans are what makes my chili special.
So you didnt have to use your AK?
LOL! 60’s is cold, good one!
Where is the chili? I see the tomato/bean soup, but not the chili…
I’ll be over in 20 minutes for chow! ![]()
Unlike Cube, when I use my AK it’s usually still a good day.
It’s in there.
Mine is a civilized chili. It’s not a burn ulcers in your insides variety. But it’s got enough heat to make you feel warm and clear the sinuses.
I’ve got friends that make chili so bad that it burns your eyes like pepper spray when you take the lid off. But that really isn’t my thing.
It’s no joke. This weekend it is supposed to get as low as 45 in the evening. My wife might make me close the windows.
I figured I was to late. I really wanted to be able to post that.
Hey man, I got this kickass deal on a quality chili restaurant and I’m looking for a few select investors. Only interested in working with sharp people such as yourself who know how to make a good pot of chili.
Sorry man, all my money is locked up in this killer bridge deal I got going. Besides everyone knows chili restaurants can’t make it as a stand alone. The BBQ places will wipe you out every time.
This is eerily reminiscent of the South Park episode where Cartman challenges Scott Tenorman to a chili cook-off. Cartman is tricked into eating Scot’s chili (full of his shaved pubes) and Scott is tricked into eating Eric’s chili (which has Scott’s dead parents grounded up in it).
Lol. I start wearing tank tops in the 60s.
Actually Cartman ate Chef’s chili which had no pubes.
Now that does sound good!!
I’m the same… low to hardly any heat.
But i’ve got a chuck roast seared and tons of yellow AND white onions
with a bit of tomato paste then added to crock pot with tons of GARLIC, baby reds, carrots, and more big onion slices.
4-5 more hours and oh yea.
(stew was going to be next on my list but some reason chili just moved to top)
and FTW today is the first day ABOVE 60 here in Northern Oregon.
but going to get cold tonight.
