If Bill Maher has actually had a realization to the true intent of the second amendment, he’s very, very late and he has a lot of damage to undo.
While I appreciate his calling Michael Moore out on some of his bullshit, that won’t suffice to give him any kind of pass in my book. He’s been very anti second amendment in the past, something that is even more inexcusable for someone who considers himself a Libertarian.
But if he wants to do the work, disavow his former statements and defend second amendment rights to the same degree that he defends first amendment rights then I will be willing to give him fair consideration…which is more than he’s given us over the years.
