I just had an odd experience with UPS…
I got a great deal on HP38 through Sinclair and had it shipped UPS, as I’ve done many times before. It was supposed to arrive yesterday and never showed up, which is unusual. I just had a “manager” drop it off, in his POV, followed by our Neighborhood security. I walked out to meet him and he said, “looks like you got a lot of fun in this box” and when i asked him what was going on he said “it just didnt make it on the truck”… Bull shit. Maybe I’m over thinking this, but this whole thing was really odd. I do believe I’ve just mail ordered my last keg of powder.
Has anyone else had any issues shipping powder, primers, etc.?
Never. UPS does have some moon bats in the ranks.
Online prices are generally too good to give up the hazmat shipping for ever…
I totally agree, mail order is the way to go around here. I have no issues ordering it or having it shipped. But, it was obvious they did. I do have to realize that I live in CA and the box is marked “smokeless gunpowder”. Like I said, maybe I’m over thinking this a bit.
You never know. That ass wipe might think (in his mind) that you’re the next mass shooter.
Pound(s) of smokeless seems like a “stock pile” to people who don’t load ammo/shoot.
I’ve never had any issues with powder or primers being shipped. However, I did get into an argument with a company that charged me HAZMAT fees for loaded ammo.
I thought it was normal as I never order ammo and prefer to roll my own for every caliber.
Someone on this board let me know that there shouldn’t be any HAZMAT fees on fully loaded ammo and I got a refund after bitching a bunch. Apparently the seller didn’t know it either.
