ISMI trigger/hammer springs

Has anyone here given these a try? I would like to improve the trigger pull on my carbine. These are reduced power springs. I would assume that could cause light strikes.

I tried them.
They do reduce the felt pull weight.
On a single stage trigger they reduced the perceived pull weight to the point I didn’t feel comfortable using the set up.
The springs did not induce any sort of light strike, all rounds went bang.

I agree that too light of a spring could cause concern regarding resetting and “doubling” issues, which is not condusive to a “Defense” piece. A great trigger comes from a great “Trigger Job” with properly cut hammers and sears angles. You can have a very crisp trigger, and still have it be reliable for the intended purpose.

But you have to do what you’re comfortable with.

I’ve been hanging on for a few years to do something with my platform, waiting for a manufacturer that I have some history with to make a quality single stage trigger group, and I think I’m going to bite the bullet and try the Timney drop in trigger group.

I have used and sold them. They are good springs for sure.

When you use lighter springs, you do have to be concerned about light strikes. Generally though, with most commercial ammo, I wouldn’t worry about it.
