After looking for a SF scout light for my gun I found an M300A on ebay which is at $200 right now with 1 bid. After looking closer I noticed the head said KXC2. Is this not the M600C head? If so, what does this mean for the unit?
First, as mentioned above, the M300A doesn’t have the KX2C head (should be KX1A). The KX2C can’t be powered fully with a single cell.
Second, notice the difference in the tape switch plug compared to the stock photo provided. Clear difference. The whole tape switch looks cheap and unauthentic.
Given that there are legit sellers selling actual M300As for about $250 shipped, I would pass on that.
When I asked him to check out the serial # he told me he we were done and that he wouldn’t ship internationally to me anymore. He made fun of the fact that Im Canadian saying “eh” and all that garbage saying he was going to get the last word.
I just contacted him saying I reported his listing as a possible fraud to ebay, how about that for a last word? Report was just sent.
My question is, how can we now warn the 2 people who bid?
I really thinks it is a fake. The laser engraved markings on the light body are very faint when compared to my M300A, and the markings on the light head also look as if they were stamped on crooked. I hate guys like this.
That is a problem. I noticed a seller on the Equipment Exchange here selling a light with KL4 head as a “200-lumen” model. I don’t know if it’s ignorance or malicious. Given my dealings with the seller here, I have my opinion of which it is.
It looks like KL4-head Scouts can go anywhere from $100-150. I don’t think I would pay more than $100 because I would prefer to get a KX2C head which would cost about $110.
