Claims a Polish barrel and receiver. Anyone see one?

•New chrome-lined Polish barrel.
•Assembled in Poland.
Yes Polish barreled receivers.
Now for the caveats.
Every other part is a mix match of mostly Romanian and US Tapco parts built by I/O.
Also from what I have been told, while it is Radom it isn’t the “same” Radom as the military manufacturer but is just a commercial entity of the same name.
So that barreled receiver may or may not meet military specifications and may or may not be of the same quality as the circle 11 rifles.
That said, for the price they are probably still way better than WASR crap and if you can lay your hands on a Polish kit you could probably build a nice rifle.
Acctually “Radom” is not a company. Radom is town, 60 miles south from Warsaw. Since before WW2 there was “Fabryka Broni w Radomiu” (“Weapons Factory in Radom”) that was making also wz.1935 VIS pistol, known as “Radom Pistol” for “Radom” on it’s slide (equivalent of calling Colt 1911 a “Hartford Pistol” because it has “Hartford” on slide).
After war factory was using name of “Zakłady Mechaniczne ‘Łucznik’ w Radomiu” (Mechanical Works ‘Archer’ in Radom). This is “oval 11” factory. After its bankruptcy, production was transferred to new company “Fabryka Broni ‘Łucznik’ w Radomiu” (“Weapons Factory ‘Archer’ in Radom”), better known as “FB Radom”.
Rifles that are discussed in this topic are not made by “oval 11” or FB Radom. Those are from completely different manufacturer, Pioneer Arms. This is US based company, that have facility located in Radom, Poland (not far away from FB Radom actually, some few hundreds yards apart). FB Radom was making barrels for their PPS-43, but it was all that connect them. AFAIK Pioneer Arms make their own receivers for those AK. Maybe also barrels. Pioneer Arms is specialized in making coach guns for Cowboy Action Shooting.
Mixing this stuff together is like saying “if it is from CT, the it is Colt”.
So this “Polish” AKs, are formally “made in Poland” from variety of parts, but those parts, even those “Polish” parts, are not from actual military production.
BTW “Oval 11” logo belongs now to Works 11 company, who bought it at early '00s. Works 11 was assembling AKs from parts bought after ZM “Łucznik” bankruptcy.
I knew it was the town, and that is what I was trying to get at but didn’t have all the info in front of me.
My post was generally directed. I quoted you as jump-start to my rant. Sorry, if you felt that I doubt your knowledge personally.
I didn’t take it that way. I was basically saying “thanks for saying it better than I did.” I’m not a huge Kalashnikov expert, but I had read all the information you posted on the AK forums recently when I first took at look at the same rifle. And I was trying to do it from memory, and that can be a dicey thing to attempt for me these days.
