I can understand wanting a box. I can even understand paying a little for it, maybe. But that much money is f’n ridiculous.

“Collecting” is just a damn odd “hobby” to begin with, so the behavior of “collectors” never amazes me since it’s a given that they must be somehow mentally damaged or deficient to begin with.
I’ve kept the boxes to my Colts and other guns because I have the space, I’ve encountered the same dumbass questions that the_Katar has, and because they make it easier to ship if I sell them out of state.

Not to beleaguer this issue, but I just noticed that the used box sold for an absolutely unthinkable $121.50 plus $11.00 shipping. If someone would have tried to tell me this was possible, I would have thought they were were the most uneducated firearm oriented person I had ever met (including any far left-er).
There is no finer definition of foolishness anywhere to be found. I just can’t believe it. What is he going to do with the stickers stating model and serial number, rip them off? It can never pass as an original box no matter what.
People are scary.
One has to wonder if the seller just shipped the box as-is to the auction winner, without any packaging, or if they put the box inside another box. 
At the post office:
“Can I help you?”
“Yes I need a to get a box for shipping.”
“Ok sir what do you need to ship in it?”
“A box. Oh and I will be needing $150 worth of insurance on this box as well.”
That is the most brain dead thing ever seen on ebay and the most well executed. Someone paid that much for a f–kin box! I should put my fire arm boxes up for bid! I wonder what a box of spent 5.56mm brass in the original box would go for???
did anybody catch how much xbox360 EMPTY boxes were selling for on ebay when it first hit the market, i think the highest one i saw was for 200.00
