Is there anything else to talk about?

As of my count, 16 of the 20 threads of the first page of the GD are, in some form or way, related to the events of Sandy Hook and the possible gun control and other political ramifications of its occurrence.

Is there anything else we can talk about? Or at least consolidate all this info into one or two threads? It seems like every single day a new thread is being posted about something that just doesn’t deserve a completely separate thread…

Or, even better, discuss something OTHER than the current events on Capitol Hill… Heck, I miss the bickering about Obama being a illegal immigrant, how homosexuality is immoral, and the thread “what music are you listening too RIGHT NOW?”.

I feel like every time I venture to GD I am listening to/watching a broken record. :bad:

Here is something different. I can tell you that the 9mm Federal 124g Hydra-Shock round is not effective on a coyote at 56 yards. The round just passes right through them. The upside is that I got 3 hours of exercise running up and down hills while I tracked him.

Cute, Steyr. Although calling me a hypocrite doesn’t make much sense in this situation. But cute, nonetheless.

I believe Doc GKR doesn’t have much positive to say about the Hydra-Shocks. I would think in little scrawny coyotes that there wouldn’t be enough room for proper expansion. Where was it hit?

Just spit balling here, but if you (not you personally) are a gun owner who is concerned about your Constitutional rights and the consequences’ such tyrannical legislation would instigate then what else is there really to talk about of late?

I guess there is a bowl game on somewhere . . .

Nope.

You are aware that there are all these OTHER forums on M4C that talk about guns, gear, knives, lights and training right?

Maybe stay out of the GD and focus on some of the other forums.

I have to agree with you, but I don’t think any hollow point pistol round fired out of a Glock 17 is designed to expand at 50+ yards. Coyotes move fast and there was not enough time to run upstairs and open the gun safe to grab my .22 magnum rifle.

I hit him mid torso, behind the lungs. They can still run pretty fast with a hole in them.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Oregon 15, K-State 10 with K-State driving with about a 1:30 to play in the first half.

K-State misses the field goal wide left and Oregon takes over on downs with less than a minute to play in the half.

Oregon scores with 14 seconds remaining.

Halftime score: Oregon 22, K-State 10

I would just have to compliment you on your ability to hit a moving coyote at 55 yards.

Unless it took the whole magazine of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bingo, we have a winner.

I fired twice, but only hit him once.

There is a difference between talking about the “current events”, and spamming the whole GD with new threads covering essentially the same information.

Like I said, a consolidation of this stuff in several threads would be much better than the entire front page (and successive pages) being full of threads of the same general topic. Similar to how we had a “Election 2012” thread, or “Healthcare thread”.

I agree, but it would be nice to get a breather in, and talk about a topic a little less nerve racking.

I’m personally getting stressed out over all this stuff. We need to be aware of it, and take actions (legally & with pens, not swords) to prevent the loss of our constitutional rights.

Its been dark times the past month. We need a topic similar to 7 RINGS to give our raw nerves a brief R&R.

But yes, I agree with you.

I would love to talk about riding motorcycles, but it was only 19 degrees here today and all I could do was look at it gathering dust in the corner of the garage.

You mean like what did we all get for Christmas? That kind of stuff?

I got my membership card for the Democratic Party. :secret:

Whatch’ got?

Grant answered your question. Let’s move on. Drivel is not worth wasting time on when precious and hard won liberties are in the balance. Plenty of less ‘serious’ places out there. Find one.

Lol, that’s a good one. We have an unwritten rule at our house that Dad pretty much gets screwed so that everyone else gets what they wanted. It’s great…
