Is an Aimpoint M4s rugged enough for a SCAR 17?

With the reports of the SCAR 17 (7.62x51 NATO) being rough on optics, is the Aimpoint M4s built tough enough to withstand the “beating”?

This is an example of exactly one but a friend of mine has had a m4s on his 17s for 2 years and has put over 3k rounds through it in class settings and no issues.

I’ve got a M4 on my SCAR 16, no problems from counter recoil either.

The Aimpoint M4 is a seriously robust optic. I suspect Aimpoint collected data on how GIs broke M2s and M3s and eliminated those weaknesses.

I have heard no reports of experienced any issue with any Aimpoints having a higher failure rate on the Mk17 than on the 16 or M4.
