I also think God is great (not their god) nor will I put a capital letter to his name. But if I were in a war every time I shot and killed someone I don’t believe I would yell “Jesus is great!”. This would even apply to if I felt I was in a holy war.
So what’s the deal with the middle east? Is this required or what? It sure seems to have caught on with them. :ph34r:

An interesting character. Nabeel Qureshi’s Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus is one introduction to the man. This is another. You wouldn’t expect these are the same man. In addition to his direct and scholarly criticism of Islam and Muhammad he takes a–shall we say–different approach in [i]Islamicize Me[/i].
In a nutshell, screaming Aloha Snackbar before an act is a consecration–they are invoking their deity’s name to consecrate what they are about to do no matter how otherwise heinous, sinful or evil it may be–as long as it is done in Allah’s name and to apostates or infidels it’s Magic Carpet Ride to Paradise time.

More like “omnicidal”–to the Shiite Muslim a Sunni is apostate and the very TOP of the Kill List, even above Jews (#3), Christians (#4) and all “people Not Of The Book” (Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, basically the entire not a Muslim, Jew or Christian “Everybody Else,” #2). Same is true of Shiites from the Sunni POV.

Actually yes. Islam means “submission.”
It means complete acceptance of god no matter what happens. So if you win a million dollars, you praise god and if your kid gets killed by a bus, you praise god because everything is gods will and it is your duty to accept it.

From an Applied Psych perspective, it’s a great way for an avaricious, Messianic Psychopath or similar Cult Leader type to get his followers to indulge their baser instincts and work them out (by basic Othering, then giving a license to let their Beasts Within loose on the Other) rather than think too hard and poke at the contradictions of his teachings.
We all have a Mr. Hyde within us, and the common thread between the Radical Left and Militant Islam is the siren-song they beckon with, promising a chance to let the monster out without guilt or fear of consequence. The dopamine high of “moral superiority.”

I’m familiar. The difference is we have a New Testament and there is such a thing as secular jews. And while there are such things as militant christians, jews and even buddhist who have committed attrocities, it’s clear who the gold medal winners are when it comes to religious extremism.
When was the last time jews actually condemned a witch to die? Because I can tell you the last time a muslim government did it officially.
Just knowing nothing, I’d say that Aloha Snackbar translated to “Git Some!”. Kind of like the Ukies saying “Suka…” or something like that as missiles track. Which I guess literally means “bitch”, but must have a different connotation than that directly.
Suka seems to come before, while Aloha Snackbar seems to come after. Almost a FA/FO relationship.
I’d love at one of the Palestinian rallies to see someone roll up in a food truck named “Aloha Snackbar”…
