Started reading, intellectually in a detached way interesting, didn’t finish it yet.
Coup, riot, insurrection. The ‘experts’ weigh in. Pretty much ignore the issues with the election and how it was the most corrupt election every, but whatever. Pretty clear it wasn’t a coup. It wasn’t a plan, at least outside of the FBI…
The interesting thing that I never see discussed, is that the riot, and that seems the best way to describe it, STOP any kind of coherent and successful challenge to the election in the Senate. With out the riot, the evidence and arguments about the election would have been concisely presented, debated, and voted on. The riot short circuited all of that. Funny how that works.
Interesting point. The sickening thing is they’ve coined the phrase “election deniers” instead of the correct/real term that’s appropriate… “FRAUD DENIERS”.
That was the reason the feds instigated the violence.
Don’t forget they can track down every old lady who went in after the doors were opened, but don’t seem to even be looking for the guy who planted “bombs” nearby.
Frankly, until there is evidence to the otherwise, I assume this was an FBI/DEM operation that instigated the violence and provided an understaffed response. I wonder if the GOPers like Pence all pissed off at Trump would actually ever go after the people that almost got them ‘killed’…
I do like that Rep. Crowe D9 (D-CO) said that he felt like he was back in A-Stan…. I’d love to ask him the follow-up, “Did Americans want to kill you there too?”……
Exactly. I love how they say that the mob was ‘armed’ because one guy admitted he had a CCW on him, but never used it, and some guys had guns in their hotel rooms, in another state.
January 6, 2021 seems to have justified a lot—and far too much. It was certainly not the Deplorables’ best moment. Trump played with fire, lost control, got burnt, and returned to private life in disgrace, wounded politically but still alive.
One of the oldest methods of gaining clear thinking in clouded times is to ask, “Who benefits?” Did Trump and his cause benefit from the breach of Congress?
But put that out there and suddenly you’re a Trump supporter.
January 6th went off the rails because no one had the balls to stand up and explain what went on, look at evidence and weigh both sides, or at least have the guts to stand up and say “It doesn’t matter you Peons”
If we are being governed by a commitee of theives and liars, they should at least have the balls to admit it.
There were and still are a lot of unanswered questions about that election, and no one is willing to have a fair and impartial look at it.
BTW the only violence I saw was from a State Actor firing a pistol through a small hole and killing a protester, it simply never happend any other way.
One thing that I’d like to add is that they keep on saying that the 1/6 people were ‘armed’. Now they point to the flag poles and other simple items- and I think there was one CCWer or something?
Two Points:
How many people show up at the capitol with guns in a normal week? People show up all the time at airports.
How many people at the Capitol or arrested and charged had CCW permits? So how many people DISARMED to go to the Capitol.
