Getting shot isn’t. Never hand a child a loaded gun.
The video was taken in Syria, not Iraq.
…Iraqis prefer AK-47s for their celebratory gun fire…
Iraq_Ninja:
Blanks? No way.
First of all, it is not easy to find 9mm blanks in the middle east. Secondly, it goes against the whole Arab concept of celebratory fire having to consist of live ammo. Lastly, Arabs would not understand why one would want to use blanks, since when you fire into the air, the rounds go away and fall down at a location that they are not worried about.
Celebratory fire is based on the use of gunshots as a form of signaling between tribes.
Back around 2005 or 2006 Iraq won a few soccer games in the Olympics. Celebratory fire was heard all over Baghdad, with many rounds falling onto our compound in the Green Zone. More than a few idiots tried to launch their RPGs straight up, only to end up dead or in the US hospital (CSH).
What you have said jives with everything I have heard about the ME, but this video seemed kind of odd. The children seemed scared/shocked, and everyone was staring at him. I’m wondering if this was NOT normal for this group of people and guy was really drunk and got crazy.
So let’s just kill them all. Men, women, and children.

Hell, you don’t need to go to Iraq for that. Just go to south Dallas on New Years or 4th of July!
Seems like a pretty normal reaction to someone getting shot.
