Discuss the Israel-Iran conflict here.
This is not for discussion of the Israel-Gaza conflict. That topic is still off-limits. Yes, I know they’re related. Lets not go there.

Might be another Iranian launch right now….not certain.
I hope the Iranian Regime gets flattened. Would not bother me at all if their assets are destroyed and they come to negotiations with their tail between their legs.
They have been a blight on that region and the world for far too long (thanks J. Carter). Sure, you never know what you are going to get in the ME when replacing regimes but it’s hard to do worse in Iran than it is now.
Their missile volleys are getting smaller each time. And I think their air defense might be pretty much done.
Best case: Military coup with popular support that maintains central authority and overthrows the Islamists.
While I hope we stay out of it (and seriously question whether we actually have or not at this point) I have ZERO sympathy for Iran. In my book they’ve had one coming for nearly 46 years. If we have to get involved, like we’re attacked or our forces are, then jump into the fray with both feet I guess… and each of those feet should have a B-2 as a shoe!
FVCK IRAN
Should have happened years ago.
I think the people there have a totally different outlook on life than I do, but I have no understanding why Now, when they are on knocked back on their heels, why don’t they rise up?
Fear of “challenge us and we kill your whole family in new and creative brutal ways” has a way of cowing dissenters… until it loses effect.
I will shed a tear. ![]()
. Not!
I hope Israel is successful.
I also firmly stand against any US involvement aside from selling Israel weapons and ammo so long as it doesn’t hinder our own supplies.
Bibi wants to start shit, let him and his country put their big boy pants on and fight their own fight.
All weapons and munitions sales paid in US dollars, or gold bullion upon delivery. No credit. No loans. No lend lease.
Because even though they hate their government they still have national pride, and they hate Jews.
If Kamala had won and we were attacked by whomever all of us would be supporting the US and doing what we could to make sure we mopped the floor with our adversary even if we do hate our government.
Not that hard to understand in that context.
I saw an interview with the Saudi crown Prince where he described the Iranian leadership as worse than Hitler.
And that they had to be stopped.
Well then maybe the House of Saud should nut up and get involved.
Fuck the Saudi’s. By 12/25/2001 we should have executed every last member of their royal family to the last man woman and child, and enslaved ever Saudi national for what they did on 9/11.
I sincerely hope that when Iran gains nukes, they lob one at Riyadh too. The Israelis might delay it, but I think the Iranians will get nukes sooner than later.
I’m with you there.
Just thought it was interesting that just like accepting Gaza refugees, mainstream Arab Nations may also have concerns about Iran.
Probably the best we can hope for there is that if they try to develop a nuke someday in the future, it’s done under a totally different government…one that is more sane (or maybe less insane!). Hopefully secular.
LOL.
I love your optimism it makes me laugh.
Regime change has worked so well in the Middle East.
Now Israel can pet that burning dog.
Not at all suggesting that we commit to another 10-year war, or even a much shorter one. If we can stay out of it militarily, if Israel breaks it then they bought it. Surely you don’t think that the mullahs running things the last 45 years has gone swimmingly well do you?
Novel idea: maybe for once, instead of personally installing/grooming/overseeing a replacement government, we butt the fvck out and let the locals have at it! No U.S. troops involved. In the case of Iran, even if they chose to remain a theocracy (which I doubt) I will guaran-friggin’-tee you it would be better than what is there now.
Power vacuums are rarely filled by good guys. Israel is either going to find that out or they’re going to find out the Iranians have a longer tail and don’t care about casualties.
I have no doubt it could get worse than the current government. The longer it drags out the more common Iranians will harbor hatred towards Jews and Israel.
We should stay out of it. Aside from selling weapons and ammo as I posted earlier.
Frankly about 10 years after fracking became a thing and we could produce enough of our own oil and enough to export we should have washed our hands of the entire region including Israel. We should have told them and our EuroCuck dependents Cash, Ass, or Gas no one rides for free. If they want our help they can damn well pay for it.
It’s why Saddam encouraged secularism.
