This is the Unicorn of GWOT M4’s - the shortest possible barrel that can take both an M203 and a can, longest possible rail to fit around it.

Nice, I don’t remember it either. And really not a bad price considering what it is- lots of “lifestyle” brand rifles are more expensive.

Not a big fan of their “reptilian” pistol grip or buttstock, but I’ve got an assortment of grips and stocks to replace them with.

That would go real nice with my Colt M4A1 SOCOM II.
Not sure that I need another complete carbine, but for not much more than the upper I might as well.
Been considering a 12.5” SBR to suppress, either this or an LMT Specwar 12.5” might be the top contenders.

This will probably be better gassed based on what others have reported on TOS and Reddit. I’d assume it may be more accurate too. I hate gov profiles but DD’s barrels perform now that they’ve turned down the ports.

I just recently had my buddy build one of those USAF survival/ejection seat AR’s and Form 4’d it to me. Then a week later got my HK MR556A4 upper back from Nefarious Arms where I had Marvin put on a new chrome-lined barrel, and it sits on an SBR’d Geissele lower.
While this DD looks cool and all, I’m done for a while. Since I hit the “Big 6-0” I’ve been trying to thin things out a bit, but it isn’t working out like I thought it would! Since I don’t have any kids, and one nephew is gay and the other a former meth-head (so neither will be getting my stash), when I kick the bucket someone is gonna have a fvcking heyday!

Good to hear DD has adjusted their gas port size.
I have DD M4 V7 Pro that I enjoy quite a bit but it’s an 18” rifle length gas system, it seems ported appropriately but a rifle length gas system hides a lot of sins.
I wish this had an M4A1 contour CHF 12.5” bbl. That would be worth acquiring for sure, especially if the goal is hanging a hard use Inconel suppressor off the muzzle.

In that position, a lot of people recommend designated a trusted friend who knows the asset well to act as a SME making deals to get maximum value for the estate. I see it regularly among modelwrs and miniatures wargamers with huge stashes.

Completely agree on the contour. I wish you could get this in their S2W contour like some of their other options.
Better option: Make your own legacy. If any of your buddies have kids who want to shoot, mentor them as “Range Dad.” Nurture and encourage them. If any become serious enough they’re willing to help out with cleaning, reloading etc…

Defeat the point for me - most of the interest in DD rails as I understand it is the clone market, and those funky stocks and lizard-grips ain’t “As Seen On TV.”
I’ve never been a fan of DD’s furniture but I have been looking at picking up one of their Omega rails.
