Info on best front and rear flip sights.

I’m looking to use flip up sights on my next build, can any one tell me who makes the best models and why you think it’s the best. with so many to chose from I need some input, Thanks. p.s. I have only used yankee hill front and rear so far.

If I were to go back to flip up BUIS, I would go with Troy. rob s had an issue recently with his, so hopefully he will stop in and provide some insight to his situation.

For flip up rear sights, I like Troy, KAC, MI and PRI.

For front flip up sights, I like Troy KAC, MI and PRI

Any of these will serve you well.

I like the Troy BUIS as well. They are the only ones I’ve used though.

I have had very good luck with the Troy front and rear. I also like the LaRue BUIs for simplicity, but it is best used with a standard front sight IMO.

There are a lot of folding and fixed sights, and you may have reasons why you prefer one over another.

A wrote up a basic review, and posted 3 - 5 pictures of each of the front and rear BUIS that I was able to get ahold of. It may be of some help to you, or at least serve as an overview for some of the different options out there.

Another vote for Troy.

I have only used Troy. I liked them so much I outfitted all my uppers with them.

Edited, I meant to start a new thread.

I like the PRI first (as I have used their front sight gas block and liked there quality construction) and the Troy a very close second, mainly because BOTH flip up with the LARGE aperture ready to go.

I don’t like how the ARMS L flips up with the small aperture…

Just my non-professional opinion…

I want to thank everyone for the advice, especially Stickman for the links. I am currently in a toss up between Pri and Troy. So many choices such little ka-ching$$.

+1 on the TROY Front and Rear.

I emailed Troy yesterday, haven’t heard back yet. May get some time to call today.

KEEP CALLING !

lol, they are good people ! I used to work there.

Just gotta find the time. It’s easy to send emails from work, harder to call.

Hi Rob,I read your thread about the problem with troy sights so I may hold off on buying them untill the issue is resolved. At this time Pri may be the best choice unless I hear otherwise.

Whats the problem?

Just got an email back from Troy. They are sending me the postage-paid box to send them back the sight so they can replace the deten.

Should be GTG after that.

Good to hear and excellent customer service.

Did you get those two e-mails I sent you last night?
