Just looking for input here. I’m thinking of loading some quality 300 BLK rds to sell at around $450 per 1K on local forums and maybe some of the larger forums like this one. I’m very interested in doing this, but I’d like to see what grain people would like to use in this cartridge and if supersonic or subsonic would be more popular. Provided I get into this, I’d be using a chronograph and provide all the specs on the load, and test fire 3 of every 1K rds as a QA/QC practice. Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance!
Here is my input. I won’t shoot anyone’s reloads. Simple as that. Do you already do this as a business?

Some big problems… building a reputation for quality is #1. #2 is the fact that to manufacture loaded commercial ammo in significant quantities, you need an FFL (pretty sure its a class 6?) Otherwise it would be best kept to a more casual basis. I have researched FFL requirements and the ATF is not nearly as lax as they used to be about meeting these standards.

I think you are going to find more skeptics here than customers I’m afraid. I don’t shoot reloads either. No offense to you, but you just never know what the details are.
I’d buy it. I have no problems buying ammo from small shops that run a reman ammo business. I’ve found that they usually have better tolerances with powder than most of the big ammo companies.
The key is to make sure people know that you are doing it right. I won’t risk damaging any of my guns to save a buck on ammo, but on the other hand, if you use good presses and powder dumps/checks it is a good way to go.
I’d like to see some reasonable FMJ in a lighter grain for training with.
I would want a company/reloader to have the proper FFL and liability insurance before I would buy. I don’t buy or shoot “gun show reloads.”
If you would pass those hurdles, I would be most interested in a supersonic 125gr load, hopefully at 2200fps or more in a 16" barrel.
I would also have a strong preference for factory made 300BLK brass rather than cut down .223 brass.
300 BLK is the LAST round I’d want to sell. I wouldn’t want to get that phone call from some clown talking about how my ammo just blew up his baffle stack… wantin me to pay for it.
Even if you make good ammo, you never know what dumb ass end users might do with it… rechamber a bent/bad round that their gun smashed, etc.
