In the market for a 9mm AR

I am in the market for a 9mm AR.

This rifle will be an SBR and suppressed, so I’m looking for a builder that makes a dead nutz reliable package that I can customize.

Who out there has such a package?

Why not just build it yourself?

I am.

I built mine off a, C3 Defense, billet lower, you can find them here:
http://www.c3defenseinc.com/kiss/cart.cfm?cmd=view.scat&tcat=1&scat=1000

They “can” also come factory registered as a SBR which is a HUGE plus IMHO…for a small fee.

Update

Decided to build from parts rather than buy a pre-made.
She will have a 5" barrel and a 9" hand guard. Should have 3 to 4" of suppressor peeking out when assembled.
She will use unmodified Uzi mags.

Form 1 and Form 4 paperwork has been submitted.
Now the wait begins.

I’d like to have a 9mm or .40 AR to shoot the steel plates at the Gun Club I’m a member of… Because of the thickness or lack of, its posted, pistol calibers only for Steel Plates…

I love to hear me some plates clang… Specially if shooting suppressed…

Any status update? I’m thinking of building an upper & registering my Spikes lower. Just curious what parts combo you went with.

Still waiting on the tax stamps. :frowning:

The upper is built and is sitting in my builders safe.
I don’t have the list of parts available this moment, but once I do, I’ll make a report.
Anything specific that you need?

My lower (a S&W M&P stripped lower) is assembled with a Timney 3# trigger, Magpul BAD, KNS pins, Magpul CTR stock… and all of the NFA required engraving. That one is sitting in my safe.

Did you go with a ramped bolt? I’m asking because I wonder if it’ll function ok with that Timney trigger?

Here is the upper…

Yankee Hill railed forearm? Just curious as I would be using a Midwest Industries. I haven’t picked a can yet but am seriously contemplating a SWR Trident 9. Thoughts?

My suppressor is a Gemtech Multimount with the QD disconnect, so the hand guard was selected so that the suppressor would slip inside and still free float.
The barrel is a 5".

Measure your suppressor and the inside diameter of your MI rail and take it from there.

Yes. CMMG ramped…
It functioned flawlessly with the Timney trigger when my builder proof tested it at the range.
