My thought on this is that OJ was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. The officers who subdued Rodney King after he was Tasered twice and the first responding officer a female half his size started to go for her gun (all on the video tape but never shown to the public or the jury am told) were found guilty in a Federal court for violating Rodney’s Civil Rights. While I realize the Federal charges in the King case were different than the state charges the fact that there was even a second trial struck me as double jeopardy, but going back to my point the jury is only as good as those appointed and the evidence they are allowed to see by the Judge or it seems in this case the Federal prosecutor. Again, I won’t be surprised if it is over turned on appeal.
“Again, I won’t be surprised if it is over turned on appeal.”
And that is fine by me
If the gov didn’t play by the rules then they should get off
This one strikes me as on the bubble…so I think a good message goes to those that would play fast and loose with the rules and if you want to really avoid something worse than paperwork then follow the rules
I am still not a big fan of the pardon option…to my way of thinking that is the guilty mans route…not the justice was not served route
