True, but he can keep them from Federal show trials. There is absolutely no reason not to. He stirred those clowns up, he should help them to the extent he can.
But he really should expand this to pretty much every NFA violation, gun possession, drug possession, etc. But he should really push the boundaries. He could issue blanket pardons for all these crimes in perpetuity. Sure the Supreme Court might over turn it. BUT, if you include drug possession, etc, it will mean there will be progressives uncomfortable overturning it. It would be amazing.
And he should pardon ANYONE prosecuted under his stupid bump stock EO. And maybe withdraw it since his 3d chess game didn’t play out.
