I am thoroughly pleased with federal xm193 and actually have my bcm middy at 2 moa with this ammo. I read all the good reviews on the imi and found the price to good to let go by…my question is am i going to have to rezero the t1 for the imi…being that they are both m193.
If your carbine is zeroed for 55 grain Federal XM193 or Winchester Q3131, the IMI / IWI 5.56 M193 is the exact same load. It is all made to run in the original USGI M16A1s. In fact if you look at the product code of Winchester White Box Q3131 M193 equivalent ammunition, you can tell where it was made:

I have heard mixed reviews on this ammo, if you could give feedback once you run a few hundred rounds I’d appreciate it.
I’ve run about 400 rounds of the IMI ammo. Not bad, so long as you take it for what it is. If you can get a deal on it, go for it. Just eyeball your stuff before you load it into the magazines, as I do with every round of ammo I buy. Even the Lake City stuff, because you never know.

Heh - a good excuse to post a weekend range report on the IMI M193, including a second round hit at 700 Meters with the lot I received last week.
I was running my SPRish 18" Noveske build with the 77 gr SMKs it likes on steel; for S&Gs decided to check the standard come-ups with the IMI 55s.
I was surprised to see the 200 meter hits were very close to my normal 77 gr zero with the NF 2.5-10x32. Walking it out to the longer ranges, the IMI was ~3 MOA high on the 500 Meter gong (8 MOA needed Vs std of 11 MOA).
At 700 meters (12"x18" gong), using a reticle hold of 20 MOA (Vs 20.5 normally dialed with the 77s), the first round ranged just off the left edge and ~2 MOA high. 18 on the reticle plus one right and the next one was a hit. And I know when to just smile and quit. 
It’s not match ammo, but “most” guns shoot the IMI M193 very well in my experience. The current lot is hotter than when I first started using it in the early 90s, btw. It’s zippy in the 18" SS (1x7 NATO chamber) and definitely 5.56 pressure. Bright marks on the case head, but no brass flow into the extractor cut.
I agree good ammo- been shooting mostly XM193 but couldn’t pass up the Weinder deal on the IMI M193 so I bought a case. It is snapper then XM193 and as accurate or a little better. Great brass for reloading and I didn’t have to trim it much-very consistant case lengths

Agreed. I zero most of my beans with full powered M193 and shoot is all the time with .223 loads. The POI shift is negligible in the effective range of .223.
Any suggestions on where I should purchase some IMI rounds?

Finally put about 650 rounds through my 14.5 middy BCM over the last couple days and it is certainly snappier than xm193. No problems at all and accuracy is good. I dont really sit and precision shoot. All my shooting is standing or crouching or moving and is main inside 50 yards but all shots were right where i put the t1 so they are defiantly gtg especially at the price range.
There probably is some POI shift between the two 193 loads. It’s also significantly less than the 2MOA you’ve already been getting, until you’re already out at distances where wind is a far greater factor (55gr loads are very flat even at .223 pressure loadings), so still negligible.
Never a bad idea to confirm a zero, but that’s more because I’ve seen tons of optic screws back out, or other user tricks lead to zeros being off, nothing related to ammo.
I have used the Q3131A over the years and really like it. It is reliable ammunition and shoots well in my carbines. I have only one carbine (a Colt 6721) that is not as accurate with this ammunition as I would like but even that gun shoots the Q3131A satisfactorily. It was hard to get for a while but seems to be more readily available now. I will buy more when I find it.
