Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Thursday asserted that Somali-born Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) “married her brother” as part of an alleged fraudulent immigration scheme — and could face deportation.
Mullin made the comment to conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, as he discussed the “ongoing” federal investigation into the “Squad” congresswoman, at the GOP midterm convention in Dallas.
“We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States,” Mullin said confidently.
Trump’s top immigration official claims an internal investigation found that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar ‘married her brother’ and could be facing deportation.
‘We know that she married her brother to try to bring him into the United States,’ Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said of the Minnesota Democrat. ‘We know he lives now in London.’
He was speaking about the second man Omar married, who the Daily Mail has previously reported is Ahmed Elmi. Both are originally from Somalia.
A Somali community leader in Minnesota has come forward to say that Rep Ilhan Omar of Minnesota did in fact marry her brother, Ahmed Elmi. The leader said that Omar did so because he “needed to get papers for her brother to go to school.” Elmi was Omar’s second husband and they were married by a Christian pastor. In Somali culture, only her first marriage, which took place in a mosque, was counted as legitimate.
I think they are going to do it, but not like you think they are going to do it.
The obvious reaction the Democrats will have is to raise all kinds of hell about it as soon as she’s in custody, so they wont do that. I think what they will do and are doing , is quietly build a case while pursuing, stealthly little nibbles around her Family Members to keep everyone off Guard.
Once they have all of the ducks in a row legally, they will snatch and grab her like Maduro and She will be swiftly returned to Somalia and turned over to the Authorities. It will be too fast for a reasonable objection to be made.
Because of her Status and Actions, no witness’s are needed, no trial is needed, The evidence is presented to a Judge and She’s Gone.
Just compare and contrast her number of public appearances a year ago and now, I think She’s seriously worried. Who knows She may be the entire October Surprise?
On the other hand, I could also see an attempt to assert Legislative Immunity to stall for time. You know, the thing tht says no matter what they o you can’t arrest a Congressermin while on Congress business or traveling to/from it. And we can count on Jeffries to write up as many ‘fact finding missions’ as it takes to shield her until the next session.
